I truly believe homesteading is a gift from God. It carries on years of tradition and keeps families close. Wisdom is passed down from one generations to the next. Skills that are hard to come by in most households these days, are taught and practiced to be passed on again.
We have a small homestead, with a little house and love it. As we work towards a being self reliant we are rekindling the old way of doing things and learning “new” skills from years past.
The more coffee I drink with grandma, the more I see how fortunate we are and that nothing should ever be taken for granted. Less really is more. True happiness comes from being grateful for everything God has blessed you with, from giving and not receiving, and from peace.
I write to share what we have been graced with in hopes you will find something that you can pass on as well.
